PRS is a long-term voluntary investment scheme established to help individuals to raise their retirement funds.

The objective of the PRS is to provide options for existing schemes of ALL MALAYSIAN regardless of private or government servant and self-employed to fund their retirement funds under a structured and regulated scheme.

The government introduced this private retirement scheme to help :-

1. Increase retirement funds other than EPF.
2. An opportunity for self-employed individuals to create retirement funds.
3. Tax exemption.

‍For individual aged 30 and below, for amount of investment amount of RM 1000, goverment will add on another RM 1000 to the PRS fund.

Who is eligible to apply for PRS?

 ALL CITIZENSHIP OF MALAYSIA

Government employees can make PRS contributions?

• All QUALIFIED PRS contributors regardless of government and private staff.

Can people in the 40’s or older contribute to PRS?

• Yes, because it’s the contribution age starts at 18 years old.
